Resumo

Os primeiros 1.000 dias constituem o fundamento biológico e social do desenvolvimento e do capital humano, devendo, portanto, ser assumidos como uma prioridade de Estado. Isso requer o fortalecimento sustentado do setor saúde, especialmente da atenção primária à saúde, bem como a articulação eficaz das intervenções sanitárias com os programas sociais. Além disso, é imprescindível aprimorar a governança, a eficiência na gestão e a alocação estratégica de recursos. Priorizar os primeiros 1.000 dias constitui uma decisão estratégica para fortalecer o capital humano em saúde e promover o desenvolvimento sustentável do país.
