Resumen

Los primeros 1000 días constituyen el fundamento biológico y social del desarrollo y del capital humano, por lo que deben asumirse como una prioridad de Estado. Ello exige fortalecer de manera sostenida el sector salud, especialmente el primer nivel de atención, y articular eficazmente las intervenciones sanitarias con los programas sociales. Asimismo, resulta imprescindible mejorar la gobernanza, la eficiencia en la gestión y la asignación estratégica de recursos. Priorizar los primeros 1000 días constituye una decisión estratégica para fortalecer el capital humano en salud y promover el desarrollo sostenible del país.
