Abstract

Femicide, the most extreme manifestation of violence against women, requires the participation and vigilance of all social actors. A sensitized and prepared community can be the most important ally in neutralizing the problem of violence against women, as its members maintain closer relationships and are better positioned to respond promptly when women are at risk. Of course, this is not intended to diminish the work carried out by various state institutions; it is worth highlighting the prevention and promotion activities that the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations has been implementing at the level of primary healthcare facilities. Women deserve greater attention, and in this regard, this issue includes articles on family, pregnant women, non-pregnant women, and housewives.
