Health, morality, and power: A critical look at corruption from a scientific perspective
Salud, moralidad y poder: una mirada crítica a la corrupción desde la ciencia
Abstract
Public service demands more than mere legality; it requires exemplarity. Accordingly, it is essential that individuals aspiring to hold public office not only meet the minimum legal requirements, but also possess genuine academic training, strong moral integrity, and a genuine commitment to the common good. Likewise, the selection of officials’ collaborators should be based not on clientelist ties, but on honesty, competence, and a sense of responsibility, while avoiding the inclusion of individuals with certain personality traits.Downloads
