Abstract

Connectivity is a new determinant that influences other determinants. In Peru, access to broadband internet requires investment in infrastructure to expand fiber-optic networks or alternative technologies. Significant progress has been made in expanding internet coverage; however, sufficient financial resources and political will are still needed to prioritize it as a social good. Access to appropriate equipment and devices for internet connectivity is essential. In addition, promotion and training are necessary to achieve digital literacy, which can help strengthen self-care and reduce inequalities in access to health services.
